This BTEC Level 2 (IHCD) First Person on Scene Intermediate (FPOS-I) course is developed within the mind-set of the first responder who could provide medical help in any situation be it on the streets in the UK, working in a hostile environment or as a Close Protection Officer
.

Skills taught throughout this course are: Scene Safety, Patient Assessment, Basic Life Support, AED, Initial Emergency Patient Care and Trauma related techniques. This FPOS course also meets all the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for Close Protection, it can be delivered UK or International by very highly trained Instructorsí who have worked within very high demanding hostile Environments. We have delivered this type of training to both civilian First Responders in the UK and SWAT Team Operators in the USA. The course is also a required certificate for those working in the Close Protection Industry.

Course Aim:

The course is designed to take the course delegate through all the necessary course learning objectives in order to successfully complete and pass the First Person on Scene-Intermediate (FPOS-I) Course. The relevant first aid training and protocols necessary to provide necessary first responder skills in various environments whilst providing them with the recognised Edexcel IHCD certification. The training includes both theoretical lectures and realistic practical sessions designed to offer students the opportunity to practice new-found skills.

Attendance & Course Entry
Pre-Requisites: We advise that anyone attending the FPOS-I course has some exposure to First Aid Training although it is not compulsory that you have attended any previous formal training to attend this course.
Entry Requirements: Minimum Age: 18 | No Serious Criminal Convictions
Assessment Methods: Continuous assessment will be conducted during the course theory with Q&A sessions and the conducting of a final written exam and practical exercises.

Course Costs & Numbers: Cost: Contact us for a quote | Delegates: Maximum of 20 Delegates (Per Group). For groups that exceed ten delegates, an additional charge will be added per delegate. This is due to the requirement for an extra Instructor.
Associated Expenses: Any associated airfares, meals and accommodation for Instructors to be arranged at the Clients expense. Any other expenses where applicable will be cleared with the Client prior to agreement of provision of training.
